Blast

I worked with Justin, Saptarshi, Jonathan, and Chaitanya on Blast, our final project for IPD 501. Our prompt was to take a standard DC motor and transform its rotational motion into something more interesting. We decided to design and build a rocket (modeled loosely after Atlas V) that goes into an “exploded view” where the stages separate and the boosters fall off. I have included a brief video below capturing some of the manufacturing highlights, testing, and final motion.
